At the heart of Mijwan Welfare Society (MWS) lies a belief that education knows no age, and learning can begin at any stage in life. This spirit was beautifully embodied at the Kaifi Azmi Sewing Centre, where a unique initiative brought mathematics into the everyday lives of young women — many of whom had never attended school before.
Recognizing that sewing is a craft deeply rooted in mathematical precision, we launched a special two-week course to teach essential concepts such as measurements, units, and ratios — not through textbooks, but through hands-on tailoring work.
This innovative approach bridged the gap between theory and practice, helping participants develop a deeper understanding of math in a way that was relevant, engaging, and empowering. The impact was immediate and inspiring, with the learners displaying newfound confidence and enthusiasm in their craft.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Virendra ji from KAGIC, whose dedication and teaching made this course not only informative but also enjoyable. His patient guidance transformed what many once feared into a subject they now embrace with curiosity and confidence.
At Mijwan, we believe that the past should never limit the future. With the right opportunities and support, learning always finds a way.
